update: i just received the below response from gary bauer of american values.
"We need one more Supreme Court appointee to end abortion on demand—just one. We are very close to a tremendous victory. That is why, in my view, we have to be very prudent in whom we vote for."
i appreciate mr. bauer's frankness in dialoging with me regarding the issues. but i'm not quite sure quite what to make of this.... pondering and praying...

I understand his response, but I think it is a mistake to vote for someone who "can" win, just on the chance they may get to nominate a Supreme Court Justice. We are not even sure if the Justice would be one we could support. With Mike Huckabee, we know what we are getting. He is right up front with it and does not change with every breath of wind that comes by.

I am really disappointed in many of our Christian Leaders.
You would think Dr Dobson, Gary Bauer, Richard Land and others would have gotten behind Mike long ago.
This argument that we need someone who can win and go against their convictions to appoint a Godly Justice just doesn't make sense.
How can you expect Godly action from unGodly people?
I think Mike was right when he said if we are willing to ignore the character issue, we owe Bill Clinton an apology.
Christians need to support Mike NOW!
